We have had a long line of Jerseys at Coburn Farm over the years, most of them in a family line intertwined with Albert Bradford’s farm in Turner, Maine. Faith, Hope, Charity, Lily, and Clarinda are a few notables. Helen has very unusual coloring for a Jersey. Clarinda, Helen’s mother, was of unknown parentage but we think was part Guernsey. Helen is mostly Jersey but has one Guernsey trait, her pink nose.

This is Helen walking out of the barn in the summer of 1998, sporting her “I’m on my way to the pocket field! Outta my way!” look. Behind her is Howie (Christmas dinner!).

She can walk without ringing her bell, due to her exceeding deviosity.
